In short

Full-time students at a Polish university with a residence permit for study can usually work without a separate work permit.
The rules differ for language courses and part-time study.
Check your own permit with the immigration office (UdSC).

EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can usually work in Poland without a work permit or an hour limit.
