Terms of Use

Version 2026-10 · Effective: 6 October 2026

Draft
This text is a draft that has not had a legal review yet, so it may change after the review.

These terms govern your use of the Uniworksity platform (the website and the account areas). You accept them when you open an account. How we process your personal data is explained in the Privacy Notice (KVKK).

This English text is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Turkish text, the Turkish text prevails.

1. Parties and scope

The platform is operated by [to be decided: name of the data controller] ("Uniworksity", "we"). Address: [to be decided: postal address]. Contact: destek@uniworksity.com.

These terms apply to everyone who visits the site and to everyone who opens a student or employer account. Clauses that concern only students or only employers say so.

2. What the service is

Uniworksity is a job listing platform for university students in Türkiye, especially international students. Employers publish job listings; students browse them and apply through the platform.

The site may show sample listings for demonstration. They are marked "Sample listing", do not belong to a real job and cannot be applied to.

We are not an intermediary, a private employment agency or an employer: we do not select or place candidates, take part in interviews or influence hiring decisions. The employment relationship is formed only between the student and the employer. We do not guarantee that an application will be answered or that you will be hired.

We never charge students, for anything. If an employer, or someone claiming to represent us, asks you for money for an application, documents, training, a visa or a permit, do not pay and tell us with "Report".

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. When a student signs up we use the birth year only for this check and do not store it.
  • You confirm your e-mail address with the link we send you. Applying and reporting require a confirmed account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your information accurate and up to date. You may not open an account for someone else or with false information, or hand your account over to anyone.
  • Do not share your password. If you think someone else used your account, change your password at once and write to us.

4. For students

  • Using the platform is free for students.
  • The information in your profile (name, nationality, university, level of study, city, languages, residence and work permit status) and in your CV must be accurate.
  • When you apply, a copy of your profile at that moment, your e-mail address, your note and a copy of your CV go to that listing's employer only. You can withdraw an open application at any time.
  • Do not put special categories of personal data (health, religion, ethnic origin, political opinions and the like) or your passport / ID number in your CV or notes; hiring does not need them.
  • International students: before you start working, check for yourself that the work permit has been obtained and that rules such as working-hour limits are respected (section 6).

5. For employers

  • An employer account is opened by a person authorised to represent the company or organisation. Company details (name, tax number, website, contact person and contact details) must be accurate. We may ask for documents such as the tax certificate or signature circular to verify the company; they are used for verification only.
  • A verification level (such as the "verified employer" badge) only shows which checks we made; it is not a guarantee that everything the company does is lawful.
  • You can upload a company logo; it goes live at once and is shown publicly with your listings. The logo must be your company's own; we may remove misleading logos or logos that belong to someone else.
  • Our team reviews every listing before it goes live. A listing must be for a real, existing job, with an accurate description, place of work, working hours and pay.
  • When you submit a listing you declare the work-permit situation (whether a permit is needed and whether you will apply for it). The employer is responsible for that declaration and for complying with the rules on employing foreigners (International Labour Force Law No. 6735 and related regulations).
  • You may not ask candidates for any payment, such as fees, deposits, or training or document costs. You may not discriminate unlawfully in listings or hiring; objective requirements of the job (such as a level in a language) are allowed.
  • Use the personal data you receive with applications (profile, CV, e-mail, note) only for hiring for that listing; do not use it for anything else or share it with third parties. For that data you are a separate data controller for your own hiring process, with the KVKK duties that come with it (informing candidates, security, deletion when no longer needed).
  • Publishing listings is currently free. If paid packages are introduced, prices and terms will be shown clearly before you buy; listings already live will not be charged retroactively.

6. Work permits and compliance

Information about work permits on the site is general information, not legal advice; the rules can change.

The work-permit information in a listing is the employer's declaration. We try to check declarations but do not guarantee that a listing or an employment relationship is lawful. Applying for the work permit and the duties of an employer are the employer's.

Working without a permit can have consequences for both the student and the employer. If you think a listing leads to unpermitted or illegal work, tell us with "Report".

7. Review, reports and suspension

  • We review listings before they go live and may ask for changes, reject them or take a live listing down. We e-mail the employer the reason.
  • Every user with a confirmed e-mail address can report a listing, an employer, or a person they met through an application. The reporter's identity is never disclosed to the party reported. False or malicious reports breach these terms.
  • We may suspend an account or a company for breaches of these terms or the law, for false information, or where needed to protect users. A suspended employer's live listings are taken down; a suspended student's undecided applications are hidden from employers while the suspension lasts. Suspension and reinstatement are notified by e-mail; you can object by replying to that e-mail or by writing to destek@uniworksity.com.
  • Automatic checks (such as a listing's risk score or several serious reports about the same listing) can only send a listing back to review, during which it is not shown. Rejections, take-downs and suspensions are decided by a person on our team.

8. Prohibited use

  • Publishing fake or misleading listings or listings for jobs that do not exist; impersonating another company or person
  • Leading people to unregistered, unpermitted or illegal work
  • Asking users for money, original identity documents, bank details or passwords
  • Harassment, threats, discrimination and hate speech
  • Using, collecting, selling or sharing application and profile data for anything other than hiring
  • Scraping the site with automated tools, trying to get around security measures or overloading the system

9. Content and intellectual property

The site's design, brand and software belong to us and may not be copied without permission.

Employers grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to show their listing content and company logo on the platform and in search engines' job features (such as Google) for as long as the listing is live and the logo is uploaded. The employer is responsible for the content not infringing anyone's rights.

10. Liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the platform available and free of errors but cannot guarantee it; we may pause the service for maintenance or security.

Employers and students are responsible for the information they provide, for interviews and for any employment relationship.

Our liability for intent and gross negligence, and rights that cannot be limited by law (such as your rights as a consumer), are not affected.

11. Closing and deleting an account

  • Students can delete their account at any time under "Delete account" on the profile page. What is deleted and what stays in anonymous form is explained in the Privacy Notice.
  • Employers can delete their account under "Delete account" on the company page; if you cannot sign in, send your request from your registered e-mail address to destek@uniworksity.com, and requests are completed within 30 days at the latest. When the account is deleted the company is closed, its listings go offline and undecided applications are closed; to prevent abuse some company details are kept for 2 years (Privacy Notice).
  • We may close an account permanently for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.

12. Changes

When we update these terms we publish the new text with a new version number and effective date; earlier versions stay available through the links at the bottom of this page. We record which version you accepted when you signed up.

We announce important changes that affect your rights by e-mail before they take effect and ask for your consent again where needed.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction; users acting as consumers keep their right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts.
