In short

Students with a residence permit for study can usually work part-time during term and full-time in the holidays.
The hour limits have changed in recent years.
Check the current rules with the immigration office before you start.

EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can usually work in Hungary without a work permit or an hour limit.
